Well, I really thought I had a solid case but the judge apparently saw things differently. I've been dealing with a repetitive stress injury in both my wrists after 15 years of working on an assembly line, and even though I had medical records, a doctor's report connecting it to my job, and even a statement from my supervisor acknowledging that pretty much everyone in my department has wrist problems eventually, the workers' comp board denied my claim last week. The denial letter says there wasn't enough evidence that my specific injury was caused by work rather than just "normal wear and tear," which feels like a slap in the face after all those years of doing the same motion thousands of times a day. I've got 30 days to file an appeal and honestly I'm completely overwhelmed trying to figure out what I need to do differently this time around. My uncle went through something similar a few years back and told me that having a workers comp appeal attorney Kingston is pretty much essential at this stage because the appeals process is way more technical than the initial filing and one small mistake can tank your whole case. I'm trying to find someone before the deadline sneaks up on me but I'm also wondering has anyone here actually won an appeal after losing the first round? What did you do differently the second time that made the difference? I'm trying not to lose hope here but this whole thing has me questioning whether I even have a chance.
